Micro Shaker Cabinet Doors

A 15 × 30-inch micro front calculates to a 14.2500-inch rail and a 14.1875 × 29.1875-inch panel. These dimensions do not certify that a three-quarter-inch frame can accept your cutter or hinge fixing.

Will the micro frame accommodate the real joint and hardware?

The three-quarter-inch border is a visual proposal, not a promise that a conventional cope-and-stick cutter or concealed hinge will fit. The table computes the outline and panel; it does not certify the connection.

A three-eighth-inch tongue consumes a large share of a micro stile. Confirm the cutter and joining method on matching material. A conventional cup hinge can also extend beyond such a narrow border, so check the full fixing area rather than the cup center alone.

If the intended joint cannot leave sound material, consider a slab with a routed faux-Shaker detail. That is a different construction: do not buy these floating-panel cuts and expect them to describe a routed slab.

Two worked choices for this front

Inspect the short micro front: the long panel does not remove the joint-material constraint.

Finished front 15" (15.0000) × 30" (30.0000); two stiles at 30" (30.0000), two rails at 14 1/4" (14.2500), cut panel 14 3/16" (14.1875) × 29 3/16" (29.1875).

Height-only hinge starting count: 2; review actual weight and the selected model.

Inspect a tall narrow micro face: resolve hinge fixing before accepting the visually thin border.

Finished front 18" (18.0000) × 42" (42.0000); two stiles at 42" (42.0000), two rails at 17 1/4" (17.2500), cut panel 17 3/16" (17.1875) × 41 3/16" (41.1875).

Height-only hinge starting count: 3; review actual weight and the selected model.

Questions about micro shaker cabinet doors

Is this table proof that a micro-frame door is buildable?

No. It is dimensional geometry. Cutter clearance, remaining material, glue surfaces, panel retention and hardware fixing still need a construction-specific check.

When should I consider a faux Shaker slab?

Consider a routed slab when a true narrow frame cannot accommodate the proposed joint or hinge fixing. Confirm the slab material and routing method; it does not use the separate panel cut list.

Can a normal concealed hinge fit inside this border?

Do not assume so. Check the cup diameter, edge distance and screw or dowel positions against the actual stile. The hinge-cup tool reports geometry rather than selecting compatible hardware.
